Traffic Air Pollution and its impact on public health: While transport is a vital part of modern life, before the policy makers in the WHO European Region has the difficult task of reducing transport-related risks to health and the environment, on the one hand, and needs of countries in the efficient transport systems, on the other. Diseases related to air pollution by road transport every year in the Region affect tens of thousands of people. Strategies for more effective action to address this problem should be based on better understanding how the contribution of various pollutants in the health damage caused and the role of the determinants of their impact on naselenie. Dannaya brochure helps meet this need. It summarizes the results of a systematic literature review and comprehensive assessment of the health risks associated with air pollution caused by vehicles. (In a separate publication, these results are given in full.) This summary, based on the evidence collected are determined by the most important facts, which are used to determine how the issues requiring further study, and well-established measures that will protect the health of the population already in the near future. It will help respective responsible employees to develop and implement a European region such transport strategies that would bring the greatest benefit to the population.
